Generally, Information Technology playing a key role in creating and maintaining applications, assisting on some tasks in offices or in homes and even in data managing using various tools hence increase the working and productivity rate.

IT forms part of Information, Communication and Technology.

The main factor distinguishing them is that, since both are interrelated in nature in terms of using different technologies like computers, storage and other computerized devices, but only their components do so. For instance IT plays as a self course applied and used within organizations or companies where as ICT is of small scale mainly being applied in institution offices, working areas, etc.

For example, in ICT mainly is about learning the computer components (that is softwares and hardwares), about storage devices, learning how to use nmicrosoft office suite and things that do not require much efforts.

But in other side of Information Technology is that, you will learn a lot about computer and its related resources, about operating systems, telecommunication, networking & internet, application development, web development, databases concepts, cloud computing, servers and supports and so on.
